Meet the Vision Therapy Staff
Jill is a native to Charleston as well. She has gained a wealth of experience working with children with various disabilities as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She spent 4 years working in the school system in Orangeburg County and she has served Special Olympics as an Area Director for 4 years. She has completed her Certification as an Optometric Vision Therapist through a board certification from the College of Optometry and Vision Development. She and her husband Daniel have 3 children and 2 dogs. She loves spending time on the boat or camping and loves working for Draisin Vision Group as a Vision Therapist.
Elaine joined the Draisin Vision Group as a Vision therapist after having retired from the public school system with thirty three years of classroom teaching. A native Charlestonian, Elaine received a BA from Columbia College and Masters in Education from the Citadel. She is certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a master's degree in Elementary School administration. Elaine's extensive educational background and hands on teaching skills enhance the Draisin Vision program tremendously.
Dawn is an Ohio native who moved to Charleston in 2008 after visiting her best friend and falling in love with all the area had to offer. She graduated from Ohio State in 2000 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves working with all ages, especially children. She started her career in 2008 with the Draisin Vision Group as a diagnostic technician and decided to transition into becoming a vision therapist. She is excited about the new opportunities and challenges it offers. In her spare time she enjoys the outdoors: going to the beach, camping, walking her rescue pups Olive and Jerry, as well as being involved in the community with Special Olympics, Pethelpers, and Habitat for Humanity. Dawn is also working on her Certification in Optometric Vision Therapy through the College of Optometry and Vision Development.
