Meet the Vision Therapy Staff

Jill

Jill is a native to Charleston as well. She has gained a wealth of experience working with children with various disabilities as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She spent 4 years working in the school system in Orangeburg County and she has served Special Olympics as an Area Director for 4 years. She has completed her Certification as an Optometric Vision Therapist through a board certification from the College of Optometry and Vision Development. She and her husband Daniel have 3 children and 2 dogs. She loves spending time on the boat or camping and loves working for Draisin Vision Group as a Vision Therapist.

Elaine

Elaine joined the Draisin Vision Group as a Vision therapist in June 2007 after having retired from the public school system with thirty three years of classroom teaching. A native Charlestonian, Elaine received a BA from Columbia College and Masters in Education from the Citadel. She is certified in Early Childhood and Elementary Education with a master's degree in Elementary School administration. Elaine's extensive educational background and hands on teaching skills enhance the Draisin Vision program tremendously.

Connor

Connor was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. He is a recent graduate of Clemson University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Recreational Therapy.  Connor is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist after passing the board certification exam through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification. He has extensive experience working with patients with spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, and other neurological conditions at the Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital in Greenville, SC. Outside of the office, Connor is an avid golf and soccer enthusiast.  He is excited to be a part of the Draisin Vision Group and make a positive impact in people’s daily lives by improving visual performance.

Olivia

Olivia was born and raised in Charleston. She graduated Cum Laude from Wofford College in May of 2022 with a BA in French, a BS in Biology, and a concentration in Neuroscience. She has 3 years of experience working in neuroscience research at Wofford College and the Medical University of South Carolina. She chose to pursue Vision Therapy because she wanted to combine her passion for neuroscience with her dedication to helping others. She is recently married to her husband Jonathan, and they live with their two kittens. In her free time, she loves to watch NFL football with her family (Go Buffalo Bills!). She has enjoyed every moment working with Draisin Vision Group and each day looks forward to making positive changes in her patients’ lives.
